Less than 4 weeks until the start of this years Summer Reading Challenge. Library staff across the city are busy preparing for this historical event, books are being gathered, rockets primed, space suits checked and airlocks sealed.
Are you ready for the Space Hop?
Did you know: On this day in 1973 Skylab astronauts splashed down safely in the Pacific Ocean after a record 28 days in space. Skylab was an American Space Station that was in use from 1973 to 1974. It returned to Earth in 1979 and was destroyed in the earths atmosphere.
